Okay, I know these pictures are AWFUL. The colors are inconsistent, their blurry, and whatever else. I know. It's just that I was running late and I had to snap a few quick pictures and my camera is more horrible than you could imagine....v_v One could have the steadiest hand and it still take blurry pictures. I even set it on a table, STILL, blurry. Something's wrong with it. But this is the very best I could do. :/ So please, be easy. ANYWAYS... My guidance counselor wanted me to do a picture of her wedding photo. This has to be the most difficult project I've ever worked on. All of the details really got me...As well as the paper wasn't being too cooperative. It kept peeling and the pastel wouldn't stay ground into the tooth. (when I would blend it, the pastel would pick up off the paper) I borrowed a large 18" by 24" sheet from my art class. I've cut this to measure about 20" by 16" I used mostly pastels, but for the more detailed areas, I used colored pencils and sometimes acrylic paints. I spent over 30 hours doing this, I actually lost count. I worked for about 5 hours on EACH face...v_v I started this picture back in April, and just finished it in late June. School got in the way. I believe the main reason why it took me so long to do this piece is because I'm such an inexperienced artist. I have a long way to go if I want to keep commissioning artwork. However, it payed off nicely. $100. Comments
you know, it'd probably be worth it to pick up a decent camera or get your scanner working so you have some shots of these for your portfolio 8D
CLOTHES FOLLLLDS <333 -- Super Awesome Contest! I know. :/ but I definitely don't have the money.
And the $100 I got from this is nowhere near enough, I'm sure you know. Stupid scanner. I'll look into that again some day. >_> I don't know what happened. Unfortunately, what I have here will have to do for my portfolio. Thanks, the clothes folds are my favorite part. Blarg, maybe you should just make some new pieces to keep specifically for your portfolio. Because I doubt anyone would take a blurry photo seriously since you can't really see the details. Presentation is important when it comes to portfolios. the clothes folds are my favorite toooooo! -- Super Awesome Contest! -- Super Awesome Contest! XD I think she just wasn't used to the new settings cause it was a new camera
